Yahoo announced today new partnerships with nine mobile operators across the Asia-Pacific region to distribute its mobile search service.

Dubbed Yahoo oneSearch, the service was first launched in May this year and lets users access Web content through their mobile devices.

The nine new partnership agreements include India’s Aircel Limited and BPL Mobile, Malaysia’s DiGi Telecommunications, Indonesia’s PT Hutchison CP Telecom and PT Indosat, Hong Kong’s PCCW Mobile, and Singapore’s Starhub. Today’s announcement brings Yahoo’s oneSearch distribution partners to 20 worldwide, making the mobile search service available in 19 countries, according to the Internet giant.

The company added that oneSearch will benefit mobile consumers, as well as provide mobile operators additional revenue opportunities.

In June, Yahoo inked similar partnerships with seven mobile operators in the region, which collectively have a subscriber base totalling some 100 million.
